HOW I OUTPUT MY WORK
When I complete an image render I send the file to Typecraft, my print service provider (PSP), for final output on a large format inkjet printer. They use an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 with Epson UltraChrome HDR inks on archival photo paper. PSPs that provide large format archival output are widely available (see Google). My preferred method of finishing artwork is to have it face mounted on plexiglass with an aluminum back and inset wooden frame for hanging. I use Fine Art Solutions for this. The process from output to mounting takes several weeks and runs in the neighborhood of $1,200 for a 42” x 60” image. The results are spectacular.
HOW YOUR IMAGE OUTPUT CAN BE INCLUDED IN A LIMITED EDITION
In and effort to make my artwork more affordable and more widely available I'm offering for sale the same file I use for final printed output. When you purchase these files you are of course free to output the image at any size and on whatever substrate you wish. However, if you wish your printed output to be included as an authorized part of its respective limited edition the print will need to conform to a couple restrictions; the output size should be within ±5% of the optimum size listed below, and the output should be on an archival paper not canvas. Mounting is not required to be included in the edition.
When you have output your work and wish to have it included in the edition please fill out and submit the form on this page and, for our records via a separate EMAIL, send us a snapshot (a cell phone image is fine) of the printed image. When the form and snapshot are received I will complete the certificate of authenticity (COA) and mail you the signed and numbered document. The edition size will be dependent on the number of submission requests I receive but no less than 10 with two Artist's Proofs (APs).
When you purchase one of my digital images you are purchasing my artwork. This art may be used in any non-commercial way. Non-commercial uses would include but not be limited to; your personal screensaver, a postcard to a relative or friend, a desktop image for your computer, a lock-screen image for your smartphone, or a full resolution printed poster for your home or office (or both). This digital artwork may not be sold or included in any product being sold. When you output an image that becomes part of an Edition, and have received the COA it is paired with, you may sell or trade that pair as you would any work of art. The printed art work and the signed and numbered COA become one piece. Only one (1) COA is issued per purchased digital download. If you have any questions or need further clarification please contact me.
